📸 Acclaimed action-sports photographer Bo Bridges debuts surf film “Big Wave, No Room for Error”

Otherwise known as "The World's Most Badass Photographer" (Elite Daily), Bo Bridges is celebrated for his breathtaking action sports and fine art photography (Gallery). On Saturday, March 15, Bo debuts his new surf movie “Big Wave, No Room for Error” at Cosm in Inglewood, an 87-foot-diameter, 12K+ LED dome that immerses viewers into the action! If you love big wave surfing, the movie follows Tahitian surfer Heimiti Fierrotakes to the magnificent waters at Teahupo’o, with big wave footage from Nazare and Hawaii! Full story here.

📸 Hermosa Beach Museum wants your historical photographs!

Hermosa Beach Museum is staging “The South Bay Historical Photo Drive” on March 19. The museum will happily scan your prints or accept digital images, so dig out the old photo shoebox and help preserve South Bay’s heritage! Check it out here.

💰 Hermosa Chamber Foundation wins $10K to help fund St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

We ran a story a few weeks ago, “Save the Parade!” on how costs have massively escalated for the much-loved annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration; so, it’s terrific news that HCF took home the big prize at the fifth annual “South Bay Nonprofit Quick Pitch Contest.” Full story here.

🍺 Shellback Tavern in Manhattan Beach

The world-famous Shellback Tavern has been a landmark MB establishment for over 50 years. Its Fanta shots are legendary, and its tacos, burgers, and chicken tenders are top-notch. Fanta-stic fact: they sell 500-800 branded baseball caps weekly. Now, that’s an awful lot of lids!
